R&R official training is full steam ahead!

And we’re off! Our first weekend of collaboration, Celebrant Training and self-development and my goodness it was ‘Braw’. I assumed I would be hovering in the background, making tea and wiping the odd surface, quietly observing and perhaps have a wee bit input here and there. But in true Lindy fashion, she was having none of it, and threw me right into the fray, seemingly having more confidence in my abilities to lead and hold space than indeed I did. But that’s what she does, Lindy Irving has a magical gift of bringing out the best in everyone, allowing you to grow, build confidence, trust in the process and be completely authentic, all of that ‘imposter syndrome’ (we tend to harbour) is kicked to the curb and everything we offered as a group or individually was valued, given space and expanded upon.

Gordon, Helen, Marion and Fiona were understandably a little nervous (as was I) as they rocked up at, ‘The Big Shed’ just ootside Killin, in what must be some of the most stunning scenery our Scared Land has to offer. But after a quick cuppa, natter and first grounding spiritual practice, all fears and trepidation were laid to rest, and the weekend was an absolute joy.

I’m not going to lie, we dug deep! And yes there were a few tears as we gave ourselves permission to step away from our busy lives and have time for ourselves as we learned more about the art of ceremony and ritual, not forgetting the importance of structure and legal aspects that we need to understand, (but we will be diving deeper into that in the coming months,) But mixed in amongst crafting ceremonies, exploring ancient and bespoke rituals and the theory, my goodness did we laughed and have so much fun.

 It was an honour and a privilege to work with such wonderful celebrants and to be a part of their new and exciting journey as they are now a part of mine. If I had to say to myself 3 years ago that I would be helping to guide, mentor and grow with new Celebrants, I would have said “Get yersel hunted” but it’s amazing what the Universe has in store for us, trust what it has in store for you because believe me ‘It’s always got yer back’.
